CLIENT PROJECT Baia Mare, Romania Hospitality

A family restaurant’s socials, run hands-off by an agent.

ReitTech’s agent authors and schedules Imbiss’s daily Romanian content, and a self-hosted pipeline publishes it to Instagram and two Facebook pages in a single run — reels rendered locally at zero cost.

/ the challenge /

Daily posting across three pages, with no marketing team.

A long-established family restaurant needed a consistent daily presence across one Instagram account and two Facebook pages, plus Wolt delivery promos, without doing it by hand every day. The plumbing was unforgiving: Meta’s API can’t fetch media from Google Drive, and because n8n runs locally, a single bad file could stall the queue with no error ever surfacing.

×Daily posting across three pages is repetitive and easily skipped
×Meta’s Graph API rejects Google Drive links — media must be re-hosted
×A local n8n means one bad file can halt the queue silently

/ what we built /

Authored by an agent, published resiliently, monitored independently.

01

imbiss-social-planner (Drac)

The agent authors the day’s Romanian captions, food/promo content and Wolt offers from a brand-context file, then writes each post as a row into a Google Sheet queue.

02

Restaurant Daily Social Post v3 (n8n)

Self-hosted workflow that polls the queue every 15 minutes and fans a single row out to Instagram and both Facebook pages, writing links and status back.

03

Cloudflare R2 media host

Mirrors each Drive asset to a public R2 bucket so Meta’s API gets a fetchable HTTPS URL.

04

Local ffmpeg reel pipeline

Renders Ken Burns food reels locally from full-res stills with royalty-free music, at zero AI-video cost.

05

Imbiss Queue Watchdog

A VPS-side cron that reads the queue hourly, independent of n8n, and pings Discord on stuck or errored rows — silent when healthy.

06

Menu Sync Agent (Wix)

Webhook-triggered wrapper that keeps website menu prices in sync from a single Google Sheet source of truth.

How it runs

1

The agent authors the caption and picks media, writing a queue row

2

Local n8n polls every 15 minutes for the next due row

3

The asset is mirrored from Drive to R2 for a public URL

4

The post fans out to Instagram and both Facebook pages in one run

5

Links and status are written back; failures are marked ERROR, not dropped

The watchdog re-reads the queue hourly and alerts on Discord if anything stalls

/ the moment it clicks /

A Google Drive node silently emitted zero items on a 404, so failed posts vanished and rows retried forever while runs looked green. The fix: force a binary-less item out on failure, then branch on binary presence to flip the row to ERROR — turning a silent, self-hiding failure into a caught, alertable one.

/ the takeaway /

A long-standing family restaurant now maintains a daily presence across three social pages hands-off — authored by an AI agent, published resiliently, with reels produced at zero marginal cost and failures caught independently.

Proof: Live verified posts from the 14 May 2026 end-to-end test on Facebook and Instagram, plus the generated three-platform workflow.
