A dozen projects, four vaults, no single source of truth.

Two operators running roughly a dozen active projects across four Obsidian vaults and many repos, with no single place to see the state of everything. Session context and decisions lived wherever the last work happened, and any hand-maintained overview went stale within days.

AlmightyBrain meta-vault

A notes-only, read-only command centre — HOME dashboard, per-project pages, unified daily notes and weekly reports. One-way data flow in; never writes back.

SessionEnd auto-sync hook

A dependency-free Node script wired to Claude Code’s SessionEnd event: resolves the project, queries the local memory worker, and appends a summary — engineered to never crash the host session.

Local MCP server

A stdio MCP server exposing four tools so Claude Desktop chats can save notes, decisions and research into the vault inbox from outside Claude Code.

/almighty Claude Code plugin

Four slash commands — brain, sync, status and weekly-report — usable from any project session.

project-map.json resolver

Maps ~19 working-directory paths to project slugs via longest-prefix matching, shared by the hook and the plugin.

How it runs

Work happens in any Claude Code session, memory captured to a local worker

The SessionEnd hook: finishing work in any project — Etsy, the cleaning automation, the consultancy site, a side tool — automatically drops a summary into the one central brain, so the command centre stays current with zero manual upkeep and can never overwrite its source vaults.

The reliable way to keep a cross-project overview current is to make it a by-product of doing the work, not a separate chore: an event hook plus a resolver writes status automatically, an MCP server and slash commands cover the manual top-ups, and a strict one-way data flow means the aggregator can never corrupt its sources.
